Sherwood Cliffs Update

Sherwood Cliffs

Being confident of this, that he who began the good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

We love to celebrate and acknowledge the achievement of those who complete the Sherwood program.  It is a big effort and for some it is the first time that they have seen something through to completion, and this is the beginning of a new way of life.  We closed 2023 with the graduation of one of our guys who had spent 6 months at Sherwood.  This year we celebrated two others who had spent six and eight months with us.  We are incredibly proud of these men for the way they not only worked through the program but worked on themselves.  We said goodbye with confidence knowing that he who began a good work in their lives will carry it on to completion.
Well done men!!

As last year was coming to an end some of our beautiful staff were moving on from Sherwood.  Cris & Carol left for Sydney (via Cambodia and Malaysia) to complete GDS (Global Discipleship School) with Pioneers.  David was taking flight in his trusty camper with plans to travel the country and share the gospel.  Katie was making plans to leave early in the new year, embarking on a new job as a visual scribe.  Our full-time team for the new year was drastically reduced to Colin and Chantal.

By the beginning of January, we were planning for the arrival of six new staff with their nine children.  God is good and He is faithful in all ways.
So, Sherwood is once again buzzing with activity and the work that God has asked of us continues through His faithful provision of servant hearted workers.

Every Saturday at 6pm we come together for a BBQ.
A tradition started back in the 70’s. It is a place to meet new people and catch up with friends. You will be encouraged as we make our way around the circle to share our ‘praise points’ with each other. This is how we end each Sherwood day. Taking time to share what it is that we are grateful for, and to thank God. It’s a highlight of the Sherwood week and we would love to have you join us. You are welcome anytime from 4pm. Bring your own meat for the BBQ and we’ll have the rest.
